Historical Portraits

About Ballarat Historical Portraits

Retro-style portraits taken in historical settings in Ballarat, centred on the Ballarat Tramway Museum, beautiful Botanical Gardens & Lake Wendouree. We work with individual portraits, couples, families, groups… whatever comes our way!

The aim is to re-create a historical setting. We provide the beautiful environment, and customers come dressed in historical outfits.

Walk In Service: Saturdays 2:30pm to 5pm (close)

sbp-bhp-logo-320The base service can be done as a walk in, so no booking is necessary, but it does help on busier days to know you have a spot reserved 🙂 If customers happen to roll up to see the museum, and aren’t planning on a photo shoot, the museum has some genuine overcoats and caps for hire; and even may be able to provide you a retro-shirt! A $2 gold coin donation for each staff member who participates in your shoot goes toward the costs of the museum. The same goes for hire of overcoats, caps and shirts (which are a couple of dollars more due to necessary laundering expenses).

But wait, there’s more fun than walking in for a shoot! If you call ahead or use this booking form,  we can even book a tram driver, conductor or costumes for you.
