“Winnie and Kevin joined our family in 2009 after the loss of our beloved cat. In 2014 our daughter Lexi was born, and Winnie immediately assigned herself to the motherly position of guarding her cot every night. As soon as Lexi outgrew her cot, Kevin took over the babysitting duties. Most nights he can be found snuggled up with her in bed. Although Winnie chooses to sleep separately overnight, each morning she pitter patters up and down the hallway eagerly waiting for Lexi and Kevin to get up. As soon as they awaken, Winnie’s excitement cannot be contained! She breaks into a happy dance and a series of yodels, which Lexi adores. Lexi lovingly helped nurse Winnie back to health after a spinal injury in 2017, an experience that bonded her with the whippets even more. Our precious little ones are always playing together – Winnie and Kev, along with our newest edition Twitch the cat – are the audience to many of Lexi’s performances. They truly are gentle, loving souls who bring so much joy to our family.”
