Part of my Blue River series, Mates captures a well loved fishing boat and a private yacht at anchor with a majestic mountain backdrop. These mates are at anchor close to each other at the south end of Franlkin in the Huon River. Rivers can turn all sort of colours, much like the sky. Dusky blue was the time of the day when I shot my Blue River series. I spend time soaking in these images when I want to remember the Huon River in one of its finest moments.
This is one of my favourites and has been featured recently in Forty South Magazine (Winter 2024) and the Art Trails Tasmania exhibition at Fitzpatrick’s Inn.
