‘Capricornia’ is a sailing whaleboat. I photographed and videoed her at the Living Boat Trust social day on the Huon River at Franklin, Tasmania. This video compiles 4K footage into a treat for wooden boat fans. You will see the ketch respond in different sail trims and wind conditions.
Capricornia was restored under the direction of her previous owner Piet Lunstedt at the Living Boat Trust and used extensively for ‘On the Water’ programs, Tawe Nunnugah, and sail training.
